CONTENT & SOCIAL MEDIA

Digital content and social media allow brands to connect faster and more frequently with consumers. When correctly leveraged, social media can be a powerful tool to build relationships with current and past customers, improve brand recognition, and provide deep consumer insights.

IAF began delivering the Agriculture Water Infrastructure Program in 2024 and required materials to launch the program and generate interest in the funding. The materials aligned with IAF’s brand, and used one dominant colour to maintain consistency throughout the application intake.

COPYWRITING

Copywriting is the art and science of persuasive messaging and can be used to engage your audience and inspire them to take action. Great copywriting is well-written, accessible, human-centric and tells a story.

To convey the success of the Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) and Beneficial Management Practices (BMP) Programs, stories are shared about completed projects. These stories generate interest in the program by highlighting projects that farmers can implement on their own land. They also promote the program funders and highlight IAF as a great delivery partner.

GRAPHIC DESIGN

In a world where visuals are omnipresent, the importance of great graphic design cannot be understated. It improves communication by delivering messages in a visually compelling and efficient way and can help us understand abstract ideas more easily.

IAF was looking to breathe new life into their annual report, having updated their brand the year prior. The redesigned annual report was well received by the IAF Staff, Board of Directors, and Members alike. The integration of brand elements and the new images help tell IAF’s story and the organization’s connection to the diverse agricultural sector of BC.

ILLUSTRATION

Illustration is often used to explain concepts without the need for words, making it great for times when a universal language is required. A popular example are the IKEA instruction booklets we’ve all used at one point or another.

Sea of Wheat Designs is a project I began in 2020. I had taken up illustration a few years prior and spent much of my time during the pandemic drawing, waiting for the world to begin again. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to design my own stickers and prints, which I’ve shown and sold at art markets. Watching people pick up my work and giggle has been a greatly rewarding experience.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photographs convey meaning in a way words cannot. They provide a universal language to inform, educate, and move audiences worldwide. Great photography captures a precious moment in time, evokes emotion, and helps create a sense of trust and credibility.

When Tara and Amir got engaged, they envisioned an outdoor engagement photoshoot, something that captured their affection, playfulness, and the enchanting ambiance of fall. Cedar Bog trail was chosen for its mixed forest setting. The photos capture their natural interactions, genuine smiles and shared laughter throughout the hike.

UX/UI DESIGN

UI and UX design play a pivotal role in ensuring a website, app, or other interface offers solutions to the user’s problems and provides an exciting and easy to navigate experience.

Interlake Eastern Health Foundation’s prior website was build many years ago on an older WordPress template. The organization had invested in a branding update and I worked to redesign their website to align with the new brand and improve functionality. The updated website is brighter and easier to navigate than it’s predecessor. It also features stronger calls to action to donate and presents more donation options, a key objective on this project.

VIDEO CONTENT

Video content is uniquely immersive and engaging, more so than any static visual. This makes it a powerful tool for telling stories that elicit emotions and affect the decision-making process.

The Farmland Advantage program focuses on habitat restoration. To highlight the partnerships between the program and local farmers, video success stories and corresponding social media was created. The video effectively communicated the program’s mission and highlighted the restoration work. The farmer was pleased with their portrayal, an important stewardship piece for the program.
